Privacy Policy

Effective date:

kCal ("we", "our", "us") operates the kCal social media publishing service. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

1. What We Collect

When you connect a social media account, kCal stores the OAuth access token and your platform user ID so we can post on your behalf. We also store the text and media URLs of posts you schedule or send through kCal, along with delivery results (success or error) returned by each platform.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your credentials are used exclusively to publish posts to the platforms you choose. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties. Post content and media are retained so you can review your post history inside the app.

3. Third-Party Platforms

kCal integrates with GitHub, Threads (Meta), Bluesky, and X (Twitter). When you connect an account, you authorise kCal to act on your behalf under that platform's own terms of service. We only request the minimum permissions required to publish posts.

4. Data Deletion

You may disconnect any platform at any time from the Settings page, which removes the stored token. You may also request full deletion of your kCal account by emailing support@kCal.you — we will purge all associated records within 30 days. When you deauthorise the kCal Threads app from within Meta, we automatically delete your Threads credentials from our servers.

5. Security

Access tokens are stored encrypted at rest in a managed Supabase (PostgreSQL) database hosted on infrastructure that enforces row-level security. We never log access tokens in plain text.

6. Cookies & Analytics

kCal uses session cookies required for authentication. We do not use advertising cookies or sell analytics data to any third party.

7. Children

kCal is not directed to children under the age of 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced via email or an in-app notice. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
